Ehsan Danish (1914-1982) was born in Kandhla, Muzaffarnagar (UP) India. Ehsan Danish family background and history timeline reflect that he belong to a poor noble family. His father was a scholar of Arabic, Persian and Hindi languages & literature. Ehsan Danish did odd jobs due to abject poverty and kept reading books alongside of poetry, prose, arts and fine arts to quench his thirst of language and literature. He later migrated to Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan to earn his livelihood and spend the rest of his life there. Finally settled as a publisher and owner of a publishing house "Maktaba Danish", he published several hundred books for teachers, students and general public. He passed away and was buried in Lahore on 22 March 1982.
